Key West has a lot of beaches, and lots of visitors come here to lay on the beach and relax in the sun. The most accessible and easy to find beaches are along South Roosevelt Boulevard, on the ocean side, or south side of Key West. But take it from us, one bit of the best Key West travel advice you can take, is that while these are beautiful beaches, there’s another one in Key West that’s even better. It’s Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. The beach here is cleaner and partly shaded by tall pine trees, just gorgeous. There’s a concession stand that serves food and beverages, there are kayak rentals, and lots of parking. And once you’re inside the park, you can also walk around the Civil War-era Fort Zachary Taylor.
